Sol graduated Magna Cum Laude from the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2023. Her thesis, titled “Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expressions of the Dominican Republic under Law 65-00 on Copyright and Law 318 of 1968 on Cultural Heritage,” focused on the protection of traditional knowledge and cultural expressions within the Dominican legal framework.
She has complemented her academic background with specialized workshops organized by the National Intellectual Property Office of the Dominican Republic (ONAPI). She is currently taking the General Course on Intellectual Property offered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Before completing her legal studies, Sol began her professional career as a paralegal at a civil law firm, where she gained a strong foundation in civil and procedural law. She later joined the legal department of one of the largest insurance companies in the Dominican Republic, where she broadened her experience and developed a solid understanding of corporate and commercial law.
In our firm, Sol primarily focuses on Industrial Property Law matters. She is responsible for managing trademark registration applications, as well as preparing and filing responses to office actions, oppositions, cancellation and nullity actions, and administrative appeals.
