José A. Rodríguez Félix

José Antonio is a consultant at Felix & Co. He holds an LLM in Intellectual Property from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), 2024.

 

His practice in Intellectual Property began in 2015 as a paralegal at one of the oldest Industrial Property practices in the country. In 2018, he joined the in-house legal team of a major multinational company dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of food, where he specialized in managing and obtaining Sanitary Registrations for human and pet food. He also worked on drafting and reviewing various types of contracts, preparing legal documents for contests and raffles, and providing assistance with Intellectual and Industrial Property matters. To graduate with a law degree, José wrote his undergraduate thesis on the analysis of the application of the World Intellectual Property Organization's Joint Recommendation by the National Industrial Property Office regarding proof of well-known trademarks. His thesis at the MIPLC (International Program for the Promotion of International Trademarks) focused on the introduction of data mining exceptions in Latin America based on the European Union's experience.

 

José Antonio currently resides in Munich, Germany and represents the firm in its relations with its European clients.
